ADELE: Turning Tables

British-born Adele became an international hit when her album 19 was released. Why is it called 19? Because she was 19 when she released it. Yes, 19. By the age of 20, she was internationally known as the woman with a stellar voice, and slow paced, yet catchy songs. The album included the major hit, Chasing Pavements. Chasing Pavements is a slow song, but isn't my favorite on the album. Which song is my favorite? Best For Last. By far. The song is beautifully written, includes harmonic melodies, Adele's powerful and steady voice, and again includes some insight on Adele's love-life. (Not something I personally am interested in), but nonetheless, the album deserves an A. Adele wrote all of the songs (then was helped by professional lyricists.) Still, the girl deserves a whole lot of attention and credit. Basically, she deserves everything she has, and will continue to receive. Her voice is amazing. She is so young but so successful already. Her sophomore album, 21, was released in February 2011. You know the song Rolling in the Deep? That's one of the biggest hits off the album. My personal favorite, Someone Like You, topped charts in the UK. Someone Like You is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Her voice is oh-so angelic and sweet, but within the change from the verse to the chorus, her voice becomes confident sounding and like a tidal-wave, takes over. She certainly leaves the listener with an awe look on their face. At least for me she does.

Adele, in my opinion, is a role model for all aspiring musicians, and as well as for the average female. Adele, unfortunately, has been criticized for her weight. To criticize anyone about their weight is wrong and she wouldn't be called fat if she wasn't famous. And to set the record straight, she isn't fat. Of course she would look overweight when standing next to Gaga or Selena Gomez, but hey, if she can sing like that, it wouldn't matter what she looks like. She would still win over the audience by her voice. Adele is an extremely talented woman with an extremely dynamic and beautiful voice, and on the outside, has the appearance of the average woman.
