Lady Gaga - The Edge Of Glory

THE EDGE OF GLORY
Here it is. The best song Lady Gaga has ever written. The song is a masterpiece.
The song that makes me want to clench my fist and dance.
The song that inspires me to Live on the Edge and follow my dreams.

Instead of spending three hours decyphering the Gaga code and getting extremely in-depth like I did with Judas (except it was necessary to), I will just let you watch. I will say that Gaga changed the entire video because of her good friend Clarence Clemons. Gaga had originally had a choreographed dance set up along with several outfit changes during the video, but when Clemons got had his stroke, she changed it all.
Luckily, Clemons lived long enough to be featured in the video.
Still, the fashion and styling in this video is extraordinary. Lady Gaga is wearing an outfit from the last collection Gianni Versace released before he was murdered. Gaga has been only Versace recently, in her new era of performance art and fashion.

"Lady Gaga is unafraid to push boundaries, she has created an original vocabulary by merging fashion, music, theatre and art"
-Donatella Versace

The video is very simplistic. It is beautiful and captivating, just Gaga herself and the things she loves: the streets of New York, fashion and her music. Sometimes excellence can be brought about through something simple. (Not saying this video is simple, but it simple compared to her other videos).
The video is very self-reflecting of Gaga's life. The past week has been very traumatic for her.

"The video, a New York styled video only featuring Gaga and Clemons, as stated in an earlier entry, about the death of her Grandpa. The video was released just a few days ago, when Clarence first suffered the stroke. The criticism over the video is about how it is too simplistic, not over the top like her other work. But the video has  a new poignant new significance to it. The video is a tribute to Clarence Clemons, to New York and her honoring her childhood and her rise to fame. The video is the last appearance of legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemons, who died of complications related to the stroke he suffered last weekend."
-Stated in the Clarence Clemons entry.
The video is incredible. It is so... breath taking. Amazing.
This video was definately a risk for Gaga. Its on the Edge, but the video lives up the Glory.
