Louis Vuitton Menswear Fall 2013

Hello everyone! 

I have been busy starting up my new Real Estate blog lately, 

and I have neglected to post on this blog. I have been completely following the recent trends and style must haves, however.

 Louis Vuitton revealed their looks for their upcoming Fall 2013 collection, and I must say, I love it. I love the deep, passionate colors, and the seriously-sexy looks. Let's take a look at some 

of my favorite looks. Modernity has been taken to another level 

by Louis Vuitton, once again. This year, we are seeing a lot of animal prints. Just as Burberry produced their mens, animal printed loafers, Louis Vuitton has integrated the animal prints into the clothing as well. I do like the coat in the first picture. I absolutely love the suits and the tuxedos. I would love to wear one of them! Beautiful blazers, and beautiful color combinations: orange and black as well as a deep, royal blue and black. Gorgeous! Pay attention to the sunglasses and to the fur hats. What do you think about them?

Hairstyle Trends: 2013

Hello everyone! So around the corner is the New Year and with 2013, many exciting things will come. I have a feeling that it will be a snowy winter here in the New York area but who can tell. I hope all my American readers had a Happy Thanksgiving. I had a great time at a beautiful restaurant off the water in New Jersey with all my family. As I have been following more anticipated trends, I feel a large need to share the upcoming trend in hairstyles. Here are the hairstyles I like the best and believe will be the most popular come the next few weeks. Thanks to Harpers Bazaar for the looks!
                  Making the braid:            

The first is the  Balmain exposed this look in the latest collection. The braid is tight but is not too restricted and there is room for movement on the top and sides. The relaxed braid is becoming big! I expect it to be really popular starting early spring. 

 Rock n Roll waves:

The wavy look creates a sexy and intensive look and draws immediate attention to the face. It is a fun way to look great going out and adds a gentleness to the face. 

The low pony:

The hair is collected into a low ponytail, pulling back the hair from the face and creating a neat, classy look. The hair on the side and from the bangs can be pulled and tucked behind the ear. Tip: Grab a nude color for a classy look or colorful for a fun, daytime look

Tying the knot: 

The tight knot creates an intense look and an attention grabber. The face is instantly the focus. The ballerina knot will be a popular evening look. This look is the hardest to pull off and there will most likely be a difficult transition from the runway to fashionistas. This look elongates and accentuates the facial features. Lucky are those with high cheek bones!

My Favorite Performances 
BORN THIS WAY:

These are my favorite performances of songs on the BORN THIS WAY album released May 23,2011. It has only been one month and she has given us these amazing performances. There are other performances that I could not include due to copyrights on Youtube: Lady Gaga performing
THE EDGE OF GLORY on SNL and her at the CANNES FILM FESTIVAL in France performing Judas and other hits. There is no specific order. I altered the size of the videos to make them bigger because each song she sings is a performance. Each performance is a statement. I love all of the performances. They are all incredible.

Clarence Clemons: 1942-2011

Clarence Clemons:  was born on January 11, 1942 and unfortunately passed away yesterday, June 18, 2011, at the age of 69. Clemons was also known as the The Big Man, and was as an American musician and actor. From 1972 until his death, he was a prominent member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, where he played the saxophone. He released several solo albums and in 1985 had a hit single with "You're a Friend of Mine", a duet with Jackson Browne. As a guest musician he also featured on songs by Aretha Franklin. He also performed inconcert with The Grateful Dead and Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. Clemons has played with E Street Band Springsteen, Aretha Franklin, Jackson Browne, Narada Michael Walden, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, Aja Kim and has just recently with Lady Gaga. Clemons played the saxophone in Lady Gaga’s “The Edge Of Glory”, and is featured in the video. The video, a New York styled video only featuring Gaga and Clemons, as stated in an earlier entry, about the death of her Grandpa. The video was released just a few days ago, when Clarence first suffered the stroke. The criticism over the video is about how it is too simplistic, not over the top like her other work. But the video has  a new poignant new significance to it. The video is a tribute to Clarence Clemons, to New York and her honoring her childhood and her rise to fame. The video is the last appearance of legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemons, who died of complications related to the stroke he suffered last weekend. The beloved musician also provided the much-buzzed-about sax for Gaga’s “Hair” and “Highway Unicorn,” but of course that was just the cap on a long and vital career as both a solo artist and member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band since 1972.  Tonight Gaga will perform on the 2011 Much Music Awards. It wouldn't surprise me if  she performed and dedicated her song "The Edge of Glory" to Clarence, considering they were very good friends. Clemon's highly recognizable saxophone sound is partially responsible for help creating the catchy, Springsteen feel of the her songs.

 "Clarence lived a wonderful life. He carried within him a love of people that made them love him. He created a wondrous and extended family. He loved the saxophone, loved our fans and gave everything he had every night he stepped on stage. His loss is immeasurable and we are honored and thankful to have known him and had the opportunity to stand beside him for nearly forty years. He was my great friend, my partner and with Clarence at my side, my band and I were able to tell a story far deeper than those simply contained in our music. His life, his memory, and his love will live on in that story and in our band."

I think it is pretty clear to see that Gaga has her own original, authentic style. All of her so called "crazy" outfits and performances are there to made a statement, and sure, to entertain. However, for Lady Gaga to achieve her internationally recognizable style, she sometimes plans her outfits and performances months in advance. This is something Gaga must be very proud of. She has her own style and her own artistic vision. Her songs preach about self-acceptence and being proud of who you are. This leads me to HAIR, Gaga's new hit. Lady Gaga released her next hit single HAIR on Monday, May 16, 2011. I waited 2 days to write a review because I felt it is important to listen to the song at different times in order to form my concrete opinion on the song, and to understand it the best.

What it sounds like: A bunch of artists you probably never really thought you’d hear in the same place, as a Dr. Luke-esque dance pop beat is adorned by woozy Weezer synths, Boys Like Girls-style backing “oh-oh”s. The song features great synthesizers and dance beats, Lady Gaga's specialty. My initial thought was that it sounded like a Bruce Springsteen song with the piano and saxophone, but with a more rock feeling. Also, the last line of the song reminds me of one of Miley Cyrus' songs: It's the Climb (seriously). The song has a pop/ dance feel to it, but could also be called rock. With Gaga's vocal talents she could perform it under any genre. However, if I had to pick non rock or pop, it would be jazz. A jazzy edition sung live by the Lady Gaga herself would be spectacular.

"Pros: First and foremost, that Gaga spends much of the song declaring “I am my hair” and does not come off as a complete dolt for doing so. Gaga’s use of her hair as a metaphor for her style and independence may be a little out-there, but the confidence and clarity of her message and the righteous conviction of the music provides support towards the metaphor, and in return, causes the listener to understand what Gaga is saying perfectly clearly. The overarching message of the song is to be comfortable with who you are; this song is about having confidence and being proud your style and your overall self. Gaga has said that HAIR is her favorite song on the album. Its one of my favorite songs of her released to date. It has the typical Gaga feeling which is what I like the most. It's a powerful song. I am excited to hear her perform it live. And the musical amalgamation, while jarring at first, actually turns out to be quite a potent mix. All the little touches are great—the sprinklings of “Thunder Road” piano and saxophone (though this is neither the great Clarence Clemons’ first nor finest appearance on the album), the subtle appearances of the classic “Be My Baby” drum beat (when has this ever not been a welcome addition to a pop song?), Gaga’s final wails of “my haiiii-aiiiirrr!!“—and the chorus brings it all together in one hands-in-the-air moment of glorious individualistic release. You will be very surprised how much you enjoy listening to this song."

POPDUST SAYS: Coming in at #6, quite possibly the best-ever Lady Gaga song to share its name with a mixed drink.

On the surface there isn't a lot to be said about the song. This song is another example that shows how honest and beautiful pop music can be. If looked at in depth and on a serious note, the songs provide insight on Gaga's life. Certainly Gaga incorporated the Springsteen feel into the song because Gaga was a huge fan in But the words speak for themselves. Although the song's title is symbolic for Gaga's style, the words aren't necessarily take as much effort to understand the underlying message. Like Born This Way, this song is very literal. Here is the first stanza/verse:

Whenever I'm dressed cool

My parents put up a fight.
And if I'm a hot shot,
Mom will cut my hair at night.
And in the morning,
I'm short of my identity.
I scream Mom and Dad,
Why can't I be who I wanna be?

This reveals that Gaga's parents have had AN effect on Gaga. They have limited Gaga's artist freedom by limiting what she can and can't wear. It sounds bad but Would Gaga have the same artistic output if she didn't feel limited and had to push for her art? Probably not. Part of Gaga's inspiration and made her to determine to be a star was for revenge. And if it did, I'm sure we wouldn't see the same outlandish hairstyles she has worn. (Look above!) Like other artists said, It's a big Fuck You to everyone who told I wouldn't make it.

(This is for those who doubted Gaga. This line is so powerful because it is Gaga's peaceful way of telling the public that she is an artist to her core, not some silly entertainment pop singer. Her music and her fashion are part of her artistic freedom and are part of her artistic vision)
